Who is TinyOni?
My name is Megan and I am a small-time hobby artist and cosplay crafter from Honolulu, HI!
I work full time as an administrative assistant and spend my time off creating art for myself and others to enjoy. I studied graphic design for a year in Nashville before moving to Hawaii and studying things that were interesting to me instead, like foreign language, culture and botany. I have loved animation, gaming and art since I was very young and it has always been a huge part of my inspirations.
In 2015, my best friend invited me to try cosplaying with her and from that point forward I was hooked. I have spent every year since then as part of the anime/manga/gaming convention scene in Hawaii, and have since been placed for awards in 5+ competitions, achieved Masters Division, and even judged in several competitions as well. In 2018, I decided to take a break from the competitive convention scene and pursue my love for art again, thus Tiny Oni was born.
My favorite thing about conventions was always artist alley, and that was where I would spend most of my time and find more of my happiness— meeting other passionate creators who made art because they loved to create and to make things that brought others happiness and connections to other geek-culture fans.
I have always had a passion for crafting with my hands; since I was a child there was nothing more satisfying than making something come to life from idea to actual tangible result, so I began my shop TinyOni producing stickers, prints, and other merch as well as my resin shop OniCreme making handmade resin & shaker charms. I cant thank all of my friends, followers and customers enough for their generous support and love in helping me grow as a maker and an artist!
